The Haydari Bracelet (post-British Mandate)
The Haydari Bracelet (post-British Mandate)
Handmade and hand-hammered with delicate etched details, this rare piece of historic jewelry is crafted from a blend of low-grade silver and copper brass.
Dating to the post–British Mandate era, its domed forms carry layered meaning: symbolizing breasts as markers of motherhood and fertility, or eyes believed to guard the wearer against the evil eye. Traditionally, women wore one on each arm — sometimes adding a bracelet for every child they bore. In many ways, it was our ancestors’ version of the Cartier Love Bracelet — a symbol of love, legacy, and power.
The Haydari not only adorned our ancestors; it marked status, offered protection, and celebrated feminine strength.
This bracelet remains in wonderful condition for its age, with a light inner patina — gentle markers of its history and antiquity.
This is a collector’s item.
