An extremely rare piece of Palestinian jewelry, this striking silver headdress adornment features 12 Hand of Fatima charms and one central protective charm, traditionally associated with warding off the evil eye.
These silver chains were worn across the brow and sewn onto the headdresses of Bedouin women in the Khaleel (Hebron) and Be’er Saba’a.
This headdress is adorned with glass beads interspersed between the silver hands.
It can also be converted into a necklace by elongating the sides and adding a closure.
